CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland set the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships total attendance record with 113,743 over the three-day, six-session, wrestling tournament and the single-session wrestling attendance record of 19,776 during Saturday’s Finals session on March 17, 2018 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

The Mid-American Conference, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission served as co-hosts for the 2018 NCAA Wrestling Championships from March 15-17.

“What a tremendous turnout for this year’s NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships with great student-athletes and fans, along with a great venue and city, all combined for a record-setting weekend,” said Dr. Jon Steinbrecher, Mid-American Conference Commissioner.

“I want to thank our MAC staff and the staff of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission for their hard work and effort in preparing for and operating this NCAA national championship. I look forward to having the opportunity to welcome this wonderful championship back to Cleveland again.”
